The Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism of Montenegro organises a Workshop on smart tourism itineraries and Press Tour.
The event is aimed at presenting the NEST PLUS and to provide a unique platform for sector stakeholders to actively exchange and challenge state-of-the-art in the field of smart itineraries in the cross-border area,with a view to taking tourism experience to the next level. During the Workshop that will take place on 27 March at Palmon Bay Hotel, Igalo, Herceg Novi, tourism operators, travel agencies, hotels, tour operators, entrepreneurs, as well as destination decision-makers from across Montenergro will be presented the itineraries that were developed under the NEST initiative, ended in April 2020.
The day is organised to provide particopatns with an immersive and intensive learning environment, full of dynamic discussions and vibrant networking. Attendees will be introduced with the MEDT’s Programme for enhancing competitiveness in 2023 - which envisages to encourage investments and digital transformation of businesses while supporting the transition from a linear to a circular economy model. The Programme introduces international business standards, supports beginners in the tourism business and increases the economic empowerment of youth and women - who comprise the majority of the tourism sector’s workforce.

The workshop will be followed by a ????? ???? that will be organized along the Cultural heritage and Gastronomy routes and including a visit to a local household and excellent wine and local delicacies' tasting.
The tour will begin with a visit of old town of Herceg Novi and the beautiful Vila Galeb. The group will then head to the Museum of Living History in Prčanj to experience the interactive open-air medieval exhibition. A third stop will be made in Kotor, to visit its charming old town, and lastly in the Bay to the Stone village of Žlijebi, where participants will visit to local households and will finaly reestore themselves tasting delicious local food.
