We’re at it again!
The Ministry of Economic Development and Tourism of Montenegro, as a partner of the NEST PLUS project, is organising a one-day workshop in the field of sustainable tourism that will gather stakeholders and tourism operators from across the country: travel agencies, hotels, tour operators, entrepreneurs, and destination decision-makers.
The workshop will be held on March 27-28 in Herceg Novi (ME), initiating a move from the design to the implementation phase of the routes mapped in 2021 as part of the NEST project through a capacity-building programme.
The NEST project has successfully developed two itineraries in the cross-border areas of Montenegro, Albania, and Italy - the area that abounds with natural, historical, and cultural assets as well as landscapes, traditions, folks, gastronomy, and crafts.
The itineraries were developed based on two thematic contexts:
- Cultural heritage and Agro-food value chain,
- Sports and nature.
The aim is to support tourism SMEs to become catalysts for innovation and sustainability by giving tourism entrepreneurs and the communities they represent a voice and the opportunity to actively participate in the event.
Participants will gather in a picturesque Herceg Novi and walk through its unique charm and special atmosphere, away from the bustle of everyday life.
The workshop will be followed by a Press Tour, which will be organized along the Cultural heritage and Gastronomy routes and will include a visit to a local household and excellent wine and local delicacies tasting.
All tourism SMEs from across Montenegro are invited to take part in the event and to contribute to innovating and greening the world of tourism. It’s time to take the lead and start designing a more sustainable future for everyone!
